WP-Sentry Still Working Perfectly
For all you Word Press self install people, who are worried about what the next release is going to break, here is some good news!
I currently maintain a wordpress driven knowledge base that uses Pete Holiday’s plugin, WP-Sentry. If you have ever had to worry about controlling who can see what content when they are logged into the admin area of your Word Press blog, this is the plugin that can solve all (if not most) of your issues. It’s free, it’s solid, and it was really easy to set up the user groups with.
So I’ve been testing this plugin with the new 2.7 Word Press Betas and have been very pleasantly surprised. Before 2.7 went to Beta and was still just called “Crazy Horse,” it messed up a lot of my plugins. Beta 1, 2, and 3, all work seamlessly with WP-Sentry. Let’s hope this all stays the case as we move to Release Candidate 1 and the final build.
If you get the chance, pop over to Pete Holiday’s site and see what other stuff he is up to. I’ve had some correspondence with him, and he’s really cool.
